Cleo Andersen-Green, Psy.D.

Hello, I’m Cleo, I aim to support you in creating your ‘happily ever after!’

As someone deeply passionate about building meaningful, lasting connections, my goal is to support couples, individuals, and families in navigating the complexities of relationships and the day-to-day difficulties of life. Through extensive training in relationship dynamics, I've dedicated my career to understanding the intricacies of human connection.

I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and my Doctor of Psychology degree from Pacific University in Oregon. I'm currently located in Raleigh, North Carolina and can see clients all over the globe through Zoom.

I see clients on a variety of topics ranging from romantic relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, child/teen troubles, life transitions, stress management, self-esteem issues, and deepening personal growth.

I've worked with children, teens, families, couples, and individual adults across diverse settings and have received training in an array of therapeutic models, such as:

Attachment Theory

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

The Gottman Method

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

The Incredible Years

In addition to a decade of traditional schooling, I have been extremely fortunate to work alongside my mother and seasoned relationship expert, Nikki Green. Together, we created The Academy of Lasting Love and our primary course, The Laws of Lasting Love, which provides a unique and blended style of psychological knowledge, practical wisdom and spiritual insight based on the unbreakable laws of nature.

My style is warm, collaborative, and designed to leave you feeling heard and empowered. My sessions are dedicated to being effective, time-efficient, and positive experiences for all parties involved. Our work together includes an amalgam of evidence-based psychological/neurological insights, pragmatic counsel, and practical tools that result in long-lasting and worthwhile change.

The Academy of Lasting Love's approach is highly specialized and one-of-a-kind, with the main goal centered on equipping you with the understanding, tools, and resources to transform your life and relationships.

While she continues to study widely, she finds her most illuminating lessons come from her clients and her own relationship.

After more than 30 years of working with a large number of troubled couples, Nikki is an ‘affairs’ expert – she works with individuals and couples to both avoid affairs as well as to heal from them. She is highly dedicated, results-oriented and passionate about her work.

What’s Nikki like to work with?

Research shows that a successful outcome in therapy is highly correlated to whether the client feels confident in, and connected to, their therapist. It’s probably also the case regarding the developer and facilitator of a course that takes you on such a deep dive into intimate and vulnerable subjects. Find out what Nikki is like to work with, from some of the ladies who already have:

I am fortunate to find Nikki because of many recommendations from other people helped by Nikki. She literally lifted me up when I am the most at need, confused, and despairing.

She restored me with love, strengths and faith. I never imagined myself being able to grow in a tremendous way, becoming unyielding, honest and positive, and both my partner and I are impressed.

The process of working with Nikki sweeps away many prevalent dysfunctional beliefs. And it challenges the fundamental ways about how I perceive myself and love.

I would say if there is ever a thing that is lifechanging in my life so far, it would be the coaching by Nikki.

Knowing she will be launching the course about ‘The Laws of Lasting Love’, I think it would impact many others like it impacted me, as many concepts of our sessions are from the course and I personally diligently read and bookmarked the notes many times.

Hope you, whoever doubting, find Nikki and will eventually find love, strength and faith.

Nikki is someone who really helped me change my whole perspective of life and relationships.

When I met her, I was going through the worst time of my life; I was married to a man who wasn’t good for me, I was depressed and I had a total lack of motivation. She helped me realise how critical I was with myself and that the more critical I was the worse I would feel.

Nikki introduced me to some really unique concepts about myself and relationships, she really helped me put it into practice and that has changed my life!!!

She is not only skilled at what she does but she is also fun and it feels like I'm talking with a real friend.

I am in a very good place in my life (I have met and married a wonderful man and just completed my masters in counselling), and I really thank her for that!!!
